A really nice faceted Benitoite! This is the California State Gem, it’s Fluorescent under shortwave blacklight and forms in triangles! I really like how the cutter decided to cut this one into a shape that replicates it’s natural form! Great clarity, cut, and nice mix of color! This material is only going to get more and more desirable due to no mining, and the demand increasing as new collectors find out about this amazing dispersive stone that’s worthy of an investment! I priced this stone years ago and feel $270 is very fair. I would say a retail would be in the $360-$400 due to it being over 3.5mm and this is a size that is hard to get in todays market!
